TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (Signs)~Unless otherwise stated the signs displayed in the Raymac catalogue and on our website, are manufactured using 'rigid foam plastic sheet', which is approximately 3mm thick. This material has a uniform closed cell structure, with a smooth matt finish. This closed cell structure is designed to give an ideal combination of strength and durability, ensuring that water absorbtion is minimal and that the structure of the sheet will not deteriorate when used in exterior applications.

It can be cut and drilled with basic wood and metal working tools. This material has been tested in accordance with BS 476: Part7:1987 and has achieved Class 1 Surface Spread of Flames designation. It is resistant to dilute acids and alkalis, does not corrode and is not prone to attack by pests.

Most signs supplied from stock will be screen printed using vinyl based inks. One off or special 'signs' will normally be produced using high quality adhesive vinyl lettering. This is the same quality as we apply to vehicle liveries for lorries and vans and is hard-wearing and secure, surviving thousands of miles in harsh conditions on motorways and on construction sites.
